Geranium Water

Geranium water

Geranium water is a product derived from the flowers of geranium, a plant of the Pelargonium genus. The most commonly used geranium species for aromatic purposes are Pelargoniumgraveolens and Pelargoniumroseum. Essential oil extracted from the leaves and flowers of these plants is often used to produce geranium water.

Geranium water has a characteristic floral scent, fresh and slightly sweet. It is used in the perfume, cosmetics and aromatherapy industries. Geranium water is known for its skin-soothing and balancing properties, and it is often used in personal care products such as lotions, facial toners, and moisturizers.

It is obtained by the steam distillation of the geranium plant. The distillation campaign takes place in May.

Geranium water is the most widely used floral water in cosmetics. Geranium floral water has astringent, hemostatic and skin soothing properties.
